North Herts Labour is pleased by tonight’s decision at planning to defer the decision on the Croft Lane development. We agree there were too many changes made at the last minute for councillors to properly respond and consider the different issues surrounding the development.

Letchworth Grange Candidate Sean Nolan said: ”The deferment of a decision has delayed this case, however, the Cashio Lane issue has not gone away. I still believe that the development is wrong for Norton and our town, and does nothing to improve the lives of residents.”

Letchworth North Candidate Tina Bhartwas commented: “The planning application for the land between Croft Lane, Norton Road and Cashio Lane was deferred at the NHDC Planning Committee meeting this evening. I will continue to support the residents of Norton through this process.”
