I want to start off by saying I know how tough this past year has been and I have been heartened by how our local community has come together. I want to thank the residents of Letchworth, and particularly our key workers and volunteers, who have kept us going throughout the pandemic.
Our community means everything to me. I grew up in Letchworth, went to school here, and I’m proud to live here today. I’m standing for the Letchworth North Division on Hertfordshire County Council because I love our town and I want to give back to our community.
I have extensive experience as a community activist fighting for local services and as a campaigner lobbying councillors and the government on education and climate change. That, and my voluntary work with community cafes and as a Trustee of the North Herts Centre for Voluntary Service, means I really understand the challenges of our town. I feel that I will be best able to serve our community as your County Councillor, advocating for residents, local businesses and our community and voluntary sector.
I have made hundreds of calls in this campaign, responded to many emails regarding local issues, and pre-Covid spoken to many of you on the doorstep. Your views are my priority so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
These elections are vital in shaping how we will rebuild as a local area and community, so please vote, and vote for your Labour and Co-operative candidates. Together I believe we can improve the lives of everyone in our community.
